Aimed at first line and senior managers whose task it is to develop and embed a Person Centred Approach, this course will examine the way in which many people with learning disabilities are currently supported, often with an over emphasis on care and a lack of support for developing independence. The course is supportive and challenging, inviting participants to explore their motives and identify the deep changes which are needed to achieve real equality. The course will take place in the context of Valuing People Now and Personalisation, which invite us all to look with renewed vigour at the challenges of enabling people to live full and rich lives.

The course takes place over two consecutive days.
