"Having experienced the oppresive apartheid system of South Africa, where I grew up, I believe we all have a responsibility to challenge any inequality, discrimination and injustice in our world. People with learning disabilities face discrimination and do not have the same opportunities as most of us take for granted. I believe that while some people do not have equal rights and opportunities this will have a negative impact on all of our lives. I am currently extremely busy with my work for a Brighton based charity, Amaze, which supports parents of children with special needs / disabiliites, completing an MA in Inclusive Arts practice, facilitating and training for Frameworks and pursuing my passions for art and walking. My areas of particular expertise are the transition from childhood to adulthood and the development of Person Centred Culture and Practice."
